Check out inspiring testimonials from our partners about IMJA!
We support the work developed by the Maria and João Aleixo Institute right from its beginning because we know the enormous power of the transformative action in favelas and peripheral areas. IMJA helps favelas and peripheries show their capacity for innovation, boldness and plurality in the construction of methodologies and knowledge, producing quality knowledge. At times when imagining fairer, more diverse societies, guided by feminism and anti-racism, by respect for others, seems like an arduous task, the construction of this utopia must be pursued in a vibrant and strategic way. And that is what this young institution promotes
